Events at the Hall

Fund raising to maintain the Hall to a modern standard is one of the main aims of the Trustees and regular events provide the opportunity to involve the local community whilst raising money
Saturday Pop-Up Café

Usually the second Saturday of the month

The Hall’s Saturday Pop-Up Cafés bring the whole village and more together.

Starting at 9:30 am, we serve a range of Fairtrade coffees and teas, delicious home-made cakes and brilliant freshly cooked bacon rolls. In a rush? No problem, have a takeaway!

The Pop-Up Café gives the village the chance to come and catch up with the latest news and is the best way to start the weekend!

The Big Dance

One Saturday in the year

Now legendary in the village calendar, the Big Dance at the Hall has been around for many years and had celebrated New Year, the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and in 2024 will celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Village Hall!

Food, drink and music make it an evening to remember even if some parts are hazy the next day! And the partygoers never let us down with their amazing costumes…

Bar Nights

Throughout the year

Our first themed bar night took place for Christmas 2017 and was such a success that we knew we had to do more. Usually based around a theme, our Bar Nights give people a chance to get together over a range of excellent wines, beers, lagers and spirits, with occasional nibbles thrown in too! We’ll often hold them to tie in with national events including the Euros and the World Cup…
